A 33-year-old sculptor has promised to become, a vegetarian to win his bride, and she has agreed to forgo a honeymoon if a statue he is working on is not finished by the wedding day. Mr. Eric Doudney, of . Teddington, Middlesex, explained this bargain while working at his studio in Fulham Road, S.W., where his fiancee, Miss Patricia Nichols, 23-year-old vegetarian, B.A. and languages expert, is helping him to win their honeymoon; "If he has not got the statue finished we shall have to dispense with our honeymoon, and you know what a loss that means to a girl," said Miss Nichols. MLss Nichols's father, Mr. Hector Nichols, of Palace Gate, W., is a founder-member of the Vegetarian Social Club, and to win her hand "Mr. Doudney had to promise to give up all meat*.
