Casey, in a broadcast address, said that the War Cabinet had approved! of a capital expenditure ./ of some millions of pounds for the extension of the manufacture of muni- ' tions. Australia's shell production was to be doubled and the. delivery of Wirraway planes was to be expedited so that soon a complete squadron would be equipped with the new aircraft every three weeks.
