A BOXER FINED
PLEA OF GUILTY OF ASSAULT

HASTINGS, This Day.
A professional boxer, George Barry Edward Allen, aged 19, pleaded guilty before the Magistrate, Mr. Miller, this morning to a charge of assaulting Raymond Walter George Davidson on Sunday, September 24. He was fined £7, in default one month's imprisonment. Senior-Sergeant. Sivyer stated that in the early hours of Sunday morning, September 24, the accused, was one of a number of persons at the Country Club, Havelock North. .The accused and Davidson, along with others, were assembled in the kitchen. Davidson was about to leave the kitchen when he was struck by the accused and fell to the floor, receiving severe injuries as. a result.
