THE CENTENNIAL
PROVINCIAL DISPLAYS
Napier is one of the provincial cities which has made arrangements to carry on with its Centennial pageantry, and in this case it is hoped, by putting on a good display, to add to the funds for patriotic purposes.
A number of agricultural and pastoral associations have decided to incorporate Centennial features with their annual events, and amongst their displays covering the past 100 years there will be collections of old vehicles, many of them seen abroad for the first time in many years. Paknerston North is one of a number of centres where this will be done. The association of Centennial features with the various shows will add to the interest of the gatherings in such districts, especially as pageants dealing with the district's progress, will be staged.
