Machines from the Constable Street and Central Fire Stations attended a fire which broke out in a house, at 34 Rhodes Street, Newtown, owned and occupied by Mrs. Selina Phimister, at 11.47 o'clock this morning. Bucket pumps extinguished the blaze, which was caused through flames from painters' blow lamps setting the timber alight. Slight damage was done to weather-boarding in the front of the house.
