SIX INCHES OF SNOW
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) j MASTERTON, This Day. | Masterton experienced a heavy •southerly gale yesterday, rain, hail, and snow falling all day. The ground in parts of the district was covered with some inche^ of snow. On the Maungaraki Ranges six inches of snow fell, and. at Rangitumau and towards the east coast four to six inches were registered. Conditions are much better today. No serious loss of stock is reported.
