HOSPITAL'S WIN
DIAMOND DEFEATED
Diamond in their game with Hospital at Porirua were well beaten by 7 goals to 1. The heavy going after the recent rain toay havo had something to do with their showing in the second naif, for they do not relish the heavy going. Both sides played poor, football. Hospital, with the wind in the first spell, were keeping the ball in the air. Half-way throuogh the spell Todd swung a long pass out to Jeromson, who had only to tap the ball past McLaughlan. Diamond were unlucky in not drawing level when Webb stumbled with only Wyatt to beat. Diamond forced several corners, and although De Feu placed well Hospital were able to clear. The veteran Trei wick got his goal by a solo effort, beating both full-backs. I With the wind in their favour the visitors were expected to make up the leeway iv the second half and started oft* well when Jeffery deflected a shot from De Feu into the net. Hospital came straight back and from a scramble in front of the goal Jeromson added another goal. Diamond then went to pieces and let Hospital take control of the game. [ McLaughlan tried hard to hold the fort, but Trewick and Jeromson each beat him twice. i
