A Miss Barbara Agmen-Smith, Auckland, is guest of her aunt, Mrs. C. W. Tringham.

; Mrs/ G. A. Eliott, Palmerston North, has 'returned home after a short visit to Wellington.

Mrs. R. C. Ongley and Miss V. Ongley, Taihape, are visiting Wellington., arid are staying at the Grand Hotel.

Dr. and Mrs.,C. P. S. Riddell arrived at' Wellington by inter-island steamer express from the south yesterday.

Mr.-and Mrs. W. Thompson and Miss G; Thompson, Gebbie's Flat, Motukarara, will arrive in Wellington this week for a motor tour of the North Island.

Mrs. IL N. Johnston, New Plymouth, has arrived in Wellington to meet Mrs. W. Middleton, who will return by the .Awatea today from a holiday in Australia.

Mrs. W. Orr, Balfour, Southland, provincial president of the W.D.F.U., will attend the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union Conference to open at Wellington on Tuesday. Other delegates include Mrs. C. de Pass (Ataahua), Miss Eileen Thompson (Motukarara), and bMiss Muirhead (Aparima, Southland). ~

Mr. and bMrs. A. P. Kinross White (Hawke's Bay) are staying with Mrs; Herbert Elworthy (Craigmore, South Canterbury).

Mrs. W. Howard Booth and Miss Noel Booth are visitors &' Invercargill, where Miss Booth will be" a bridesmaid at' the Morrah—Douglas wedding on Tuesday. X:

Miss M. Sewell, who has been teaching at the Wanganui East School for the past ten years, was presented with a gift on leaving to.;take the position of infant mistress at. bWaitotara.

C. *Tully, of Melbourne, formerly Lady Kingsford-Smith, was a through passenger by the Mariposa on, Friday on her return to Australia from a visit to Great Britain. She was accompanied by her son, Charles Kings-ford-Smith

Mrs. J. C. Ambury, president of the Northern Wairoa provincial council of the Women's Division of the Farmers'- Union, has left for Wellington to attend the annual conference of the division.

Mrs., A. Ensor, Wellington, has returned'after a visit to Auckland, where she was the guest of Mrs. Forsyth, Mount Eden.

Mrs. Brian Rudman, Oriental Bay, will arrive in Auckland on Wednesday for,-£ holiday visit.

Mrs. E. Caradus, Hataitai, left Wellington today on a visit to Wanganui, New Plymouth, and Auckland, and will rejforn/home at the end of the month.
