Porkers also were selling well, best sorts selling from 37s to 41s. Poultry was in short supply, prices remaining... firm on last week's rates. Quotations: —Pigs: Weaners, best 16s 6d to 20s, small to backward lis to 15s; slips 18s to 225; stores, good 21s to 295. backward 14s to £1; porkers, good 37s to 41s, light 30s to 345. Poultry: Best heavy hens, 8s to 8s 6d per pair; best W.L. hens. 6s to 6s 6d per pair; light hens. 4s to 5s per pair; cockerels, heavy 8s to 9s per pair, light 6s to 7s per pair; pullets, 3s 8d to 5s 6d each; ducks, 6s to 7s per pair. Produce— Apples: Delicious, 10s to 12s; Jonathans. 9s to 9s 6d; Statesmen, 7s 6d to 9s; Stunners, 6s to 8s 6d; Docherty's, 6s to 7s 9d; Rome Beauties, 7s to 9s; cookers, 7s to 8s 6d.
