LANDSLIDE SUFFERERS

The Secretary of the Colonies, Mr. Mac Donald, sent a telegram to the Governor of the Windward Islands conveying his Majesty's regret at the Santa Lucia landslide and sympathy with the sufferers.
The sympathy of the House of Commons was expressed by Mr. Mac Donald in answering a question. He informed the House that the Governor estimated that about 50 people had been killed and 40 injured. He had asked the Governor for his views on the material assistance which might be required for the sufferers.
