CAMP VISITED

AIR FORCE ACTIVITIES

BLENHEIM, November 24.
Flying from Wellington by special plane, the Minister of Defence, the Hon. F. Jones, carried out an official inspection of the Wellington (Territorial) Squadron of the Royal New Zealand Air Force, which is in camp on the Blenheim aerodrome. Included in the programme was an inspection; of camp facilities, tents, and aircraft. 1 Opportunity was taken by the Minister to talk briefly with the officers and men.
Before leaving for Dunedin by airliner the Minister said he was very pleased with the camp
"It is really the first camp we have had, and I am very pleased with the work that has been done. Reports from all quarters have been excellent The men are very keen and they are all doing good work."
Expressing gratification at the com-' prehensive nature of the camp, Mr. Jones said all officers of the squadron and 85 per cent, of the men were pre-, sent, which was excellent. The Wellington Squadron was carrying out its*, work with much success, and further squadrons would be established in Auckland; Christchurch, and Dunedin.
