LOCAL CONTESTS
The Wellington Swimming Centre's A grade water-polo competition is to start next Thursday night, December 1, at Thorndon Baths, in conjunction with the officiaJ. opening of the centre's activities toi the season. Each club is to put on a race for its own .nembers, and during the evening two A grade water-polo matches wil] be played, Maranui v. Wellington and Lyall Bay A v. Hutt The B and C grade contests will cpmmence on December 8, at 7 p.m.
There are five entries in the A grade contests, 9 in the B grade, and 10 in the C grade' The entries are as foi lows:—A grade, Hutt, Maranui. Lyall Bay A and B, and Wellington; B grade. Hutt, Petone, V.M.C.A., University. Worser Bay, Lyall Bay. Maranu? Hataitai, and Wellington; C grade. Hutt. Petone. V.M C.A., University,- Worser Bay, Lyall Bay, Maranui. Hataitai A and B, and Wellington.
