LAST TRIBUTE
LARGE GATHERING OF CLERGY
The largest assemblage of Anglican clergy at Wanganui for a considerable time was seen at the funeral service of Mrs. J. R. Young, wife of the Archdeacon of Waitotara, writes "The Post's" representative. The service at the church and at the graveside was conducted by the Bishop of Wellington, the Rt. Rev. H. St. Barbe Holland, assisted by Canon G. B. Malcolm (Wellington) and'the Rev. W. Lambert, of Christchurch. Other clergy present were the Yon. Archdeacon W. Bullock (Vicar General, Wellington), the Yen. Archdeacon F. H. Petrie (Feilding), and the Revs. W. Raine (Marton), P. Ransom (St. Peter's, Palmerston North), H. Walton (Patea), P. A. Stanley (Waverley), R. Godfrey (Aramoho), W. M. Smallfleld (Durie Hill), C. W. Soloman (Gonville), W. Tye (Wellington), V. C. Thomas (Christchurch). and H. W. Austin (Collegiate School). Both Christchurch and All Saints' choirs were present at the church service, and representatives of all local body and civic organisations. The pall-bearers were members of the vestry of Christ Church, Dr. R. E. Hewat, and Messrs. T. Russell, S. Swan, C. P. Brown, J. B. Bennett, and E. B. Toomath.
