WATERFRONT DISPUTE
RELIEF ON MONDAY
MEETING OF UNION

AUCKLAND, This Day.
An announcement that work will be resumed on the Auckland waterfront on Monday morning was made following a meeting of members of the Waterside Workers' Union today.
The meeting was addressed by Mr. J. Roberts, secretary of the New Zealand Waterside Workers' Federation, and other executive members of the union, after which it was agreed that the grievances should be referred to the local disputes committee and also that a conference be held in Wellington next week between the New Zealand Watersiders' Union and the ship owners.
The ship owners have issued the following statement: "The employers are very pleased that Mr. Roberts has been able to settle the trouble. Employment boards will be put out on Monday immediately the men have started work on the Waiana and the Kaimiro, and all men will 'be paid from 8 a.m. The local disputes committee will meet as early as possible on Monday."
