TOWNSWOMEN'S GUILD
CENTRAL BRANCH MEETS
A good attendance of members and visitors marked the final meeting for the year of the Wellington central branch of the Townswomen's Guild. Mrs. James Pow presided.
Two songs were sung by Mrs. Mo Kendry, which were very much'enjoyed, and Mrs. Christmas Harvey gave a talk on "Domestic Animals } 'f for which she was heartily thanked and presented with a spray of flowers.
A competition for the best paper hat composed of a sheet of newspaper and half a dozen pins caused rhCtch'amusement. Mrs. Christmas Harvey acted as judge. It was announced that the singing and dramatic circles "will hold a Christmas party, and all.members were invited, to. participate ;anij'.bring their friends^ Afterhopn:;'; tea*. 1 was served^ by the hostesses; Mes.da.fliejs St. Clare, Simes,: Smith' (3) ,'Redferny Rowlands, and Miss Craig. . . f;" *
