Young cattle sold at highly satisfactory prices at the Feilding supplementary cattle fair-today, when over 200 C head made up the yarding. The cattk were in splendid condition, and of acceptable quality; practically the whole of the entry was sold at auction. The fat sheep sale was firm, and store sheep sold readily at previous rates. Wright, Stephenson, and Company offered good yardihgs of sheep, cattle, and pigs at the weekly , Cartertou sale yesterday. With the exception of some of the heavier pigs, all classes of stock sold well up to late rates. Prices were: — Sheep: Ewes with lambs at foot, all counted, 12s 3d to 13s; fat shorn b.f. hoggets, to 18s lOd; fat woolly hoggets. 23s to 23s 4d. DISPERSAL SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., recently held a successful dispersal sale of dairj stock at Pahiatua, on behalf of JMr. W M. Vowell, Kohinui. The cows, mostly young, were keenly competed for and realised up tc £12 ss. The average price for sound cows was £9 13s; yearling heifers made £3 ss; Jersey bull, £7 10s; late calving cows, £5. PIGS AND POULTRY. The Dominion Auctioneering Co. Palmerston North, offered exception ■ ally heavy yardings of both pigs anc poultry to a large bench of buyers'ai this week's sale, and a total clearance was made of all lines. Best weanen sold from 22s to 235; and porkers, 44s to 50s. . . . Poultry was easier m price because of the large quantity yarded. Bes 8.0. hens realised 4s 7d, and white: to 3t 9d each.
