RETURNING HOME
All the players Who took part in the trials have been given the privilege of remaining in Wellington at the expense of the New Zealand Rugby Union until the final trial has been played. Many, however, are keen to return to their homes now that they are not required for Saturday's match. McAneney (Poverty Bay), McClena«han and O'Dowda (Taranaki), Anderson (Horowhenua), Pepper (Auckland), and Best and Russell (Waikato) left today, and the following are leaving for the south tonight: Sutherland, George, and Purdue (Southland), Strachan. Mason, and Orman (Buller), and Quaid and Black (Otago). Solomon may be leaving for Auckland tomorrow.
McClenaghan and O'Dowda are to play for Taranaki against Auckland on Saturday, and Clothier and Bradley are going to the Wairarapa to play there for Hawke's Bay on Saturday.
