FINAL TRIAL

SELECTION OF TEAMS

The series of Rugby trials with a view to aiding the New Zealand selectors in the choice of the players for the first Test with the Springboks is to conclude on Saturday with a match, New Zealand team v. The Rest. In this the selectors decided to give Solomon a trial at centre, and they are calling up Simon (the Otago halfback, who was not available previously) and D. Treyathan (Otago first five-eighths, who returned to Dunedin after playing in the inter-Island match last Saturday). Solomon, however, is not available owing to an injury, which will keep him out of action for about ten days. He has been replaced by Killeen, and Fulton has been added to the list of emergencies.
