TRAINING DEPOT

DANCE AT TRENTHAM

Members of the G.H.Q. Training Depot, Ordnance Depot, and Police Training Depot held an enjoyable and successful function in the Soldiers' Club, Trentham Camp, last evening. The dance room was ornamented with Chinese lanterns and Iceland poppies, and the walls were draped with a number of flags. The lounge was comfortably arranged, and the decorations of ferns and flowers and the big log fire made it very cosy for those who did not wish to dance.

A buffet supper was served from tables exquisitely arranged with Iceland poppies, cyclamen, and spring bulbs, E.nd over these flowers of many hues towered ferns and dwarf trees, altogether presenting a picturesque woodland scene. These arrangement.-, were carried out by Mr. F. E. Chappell.

The committee responsible for the success of the function, which was attended by about 250 people, included Captain Bown, Captain Erridge, LanceCorpl. R. W. Collins, Lance-Corpl. C. Prentice, Armr. Sergt.-Major J. G.

Chapman, Messrs. A. D. Leighton, P. N. Erridge, and Constables P. A. Byrne (secretary) and W. E. Leppien. The "Lucky Spot" novelty dance was won by Miss I. Taylor and partner.
