DICKENS FELLOWSHIP

The annual meeting of the Dickens Fellowship was held recently in Charming Hall, the president (Mr. E. C. Smythe) being in the chair.

The following officers were elected:— President, Mr. W. D. Charlton; immediate past presidents, Captain Galloway and Mr. E. C. Smythe; vice-presi-dents, Professor Shelley, Mr. E. Dickens, Mrs. Hall, Mrs. Chatfield; librarian. Miss Geyger; treasurer, Mr. Gordon Shakes; secretary, Mrs. N. Cruttenden; committee, . Mesdames Price, Shakes, Wainwright, Johnstone, Brown, Misses Bennet, Bray, Morrell, Mr. Coomber, and Mr. Rutherford.

A very satisfactory report and balance-sheet was submitted, also excellent reports of social service work done by the sewing circle and the dramatic club.
