ADDINGTON'S "TOTE"
MR. MACDOUCALL RETIRES

Mr W H. MacDougall's totalisator contract with the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club terminates after the August Meeting. Mr. MacDougall has run the totalisator at Addington for the last thirty-one years, and the club at the annual meeting, expressed its indebtedness to Mr. MacDougall for the eificient manner in which the totalisator had been conducted by him. It is expected that the new electric totalisator at Addington will be in operation at the November Meeting. The committee of the Metropolitan Trotting Club has decided in future to run the totalisator itself, and has already' appointed a totalisator supervisor, Mr. J. Rea, who will take up his duties on September 1. He has had much totalisator experience in the North Island.
