, Mr. A. J. Drummond, of the Wellington Fire Brigade, has been appointed by the Nelson Fire Board to the position of deputy superintendent of the Nelson Fire Brigade. Mr. Drummond is a foreman in the Wellington brigade, and has a good record , of service. He was born in Wellington in. 1905, and. joined the Wellington brigade as a probationary fireman in May, 1925. He passed through the various grades and attained the rank of foreman on April 30 jast year.
