"NOT WORTH SNAP OF THE FINGERS"
BALDWIN'S SPEECH
United Press Association—By Electric Tel*» graph—Copyright.) ■ (Received October 31, 2.35 p.m.) LONDON. October 30. The "Morning Post" gives prominence to the Prime Minister's declara-. tion in the House of Commons that he is determined to free Britain of Fascists and Communists, whose fanatical antagonism could be compared with the religious wars of former centuries. He added that the Communists and Fascists in Britain, taken together, were not worth a snap of the fingers. The Rome correspondent of "The Times" says that Mr. Baldwin's references to Fascism were received with ill grace and were denounced as puerile, irritating, and at variance with historical. and political truth. -
