PROROGATION HITCH
AN ERROR CORRECTED
COMMONS EMBARRASSED
(Received October 31, 10.55 a.m.)
LONDON, October 30. An amusing error marked the prorogation of Parliament. The Acting Lord Chancellor, the Earl of' Onslow, after ' reading the King's Speech, declared Parliament dissolved instead of. waiting for the clerks to read the Royal Commission authorising the prorogation. . . The Speaker and the rest of the members of the House of Commons, after a moment's hesitation and embarrassment, bowed and began to withdraw, when Lord Onslow realised his mistake and called them back. He then went through the correct procedure.
