CORONATION YEAR
Detailed information of travel conditions existing in all countries of the world and particulars of escorted tours are contained in "Overseas Travel, 1937," issued by Cook's world travel service. A large section of the booklet deals with a number of escorted tours specially organised for Australian and New Zealand travellers, and in the programmes it is clearly set forth what the fares provide. Generally speaking,. they include travel tickets for the tour, hotel accommodation, motor drives, and sight-seeing fees at the principal points visited, gratuities to hotel and railway servants, and others, free conveyance of baggage, and the services of guides and couriers. Details are also given of inclusive independent travel, or "travel made to measure," for those who wish to travel independently and yet have every necessary expense provided for beforehand. Special mention is made of the Coronation festivities in the Homeland, and programmes have been mapped out which include most of the special events of the English year, including the Derby, Royal Ascot races, Aldershot Tatto, Royal Air Force display, and the Henley Royal Regatta. Inclusive tours by motor-coach in Great Britain and Ireland have also been mapped out for 1937. .In addition to information l'egarding the fares for travel to all foreign countries, as well as detailed time-tables and rates of steamship lines, railway, and airlines, the booklet also gives particulars of passports, baggage, insurance, mails, cablegrams, travellers' cheques, and other data invaluable to those who wish to travel abroad.
