AUSTRALIA'S STONE AGE
The life and customs or a race still living as in prehistoric times are described in an illustrated book, entitled "Stone Age Bushmen of Today," which Blackie and Son have recently published. The author, the Rev. J. R. B. Love, who won the M.C. and D.C.M. during the'war, has been working for some years past as a missionary »mong the Worora, an aboriginal tribe occupying" one of the desolate regions in the North-West of Australia. Practically nothing was hitherto known either about this people or their country, but the author, gradually winning their confidence and learning their language, settled down to study every aspect of their primitive life at first hand. In this book, describing his experiences, he sums up his attitude to native thought and custom in the following words: —"I began to think that the natives were likely to do me as much good as I hoped to do them; an opinion which the years but confirmed."
