(Original) The witches leave their magic, " They leave their weary lo6ms, And 'gainst the stars you see them Riding back and forth On brooms Cleaving the dusky shadows O'er the dale and green; Hastening thru' the twilight To the tryst of Hallow'een. No time to spare, for witches, They must not stay behind, They 'must 'leave their cauldrons, And travel'with the wind— , Riding across the moonbeams And up their 'silver sheen, On through the purple darkness— For it is Hallowe'en.
