Mrs. Ryan occupied the chair at a recent meeting of the Porirua Wcf men's Institute. The meeting considered the agenda for the federation half-yearly . meeting to be held at Upper Hutt,' and delegates were elected to attend. .. '

Mrs. Stewart and Mrs. Wright tied: for the highest number, of points..in the "smocked article" competition. "A Love Story". was the title of ■ a competition calling for considerable thought, and. which was won by Mrs. Doddington. . ■
