LABOUR BROADCASTING
CONTROL OF STATION 2KY
"United Tress Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received March 20, 9 a.m.) SYDNEY, March 19. A factional fight in the Labour ranks over the future control of the broadcasting station 2KY culminated tonight in a severe setback for the Lang forces, which since the unity decree between the Federal and State Labour ranks have sought to tighten their grip on the Labour .broadcasting station at the expense of Mr. J. H. Garden, who hitherto was practically the guiding hand at this station, but who, since his elevation to the Federal Parliament, has rarely figured in the affairs of the Lang group.
At tonight's meeting of the Labour Council, Mr. Garden's supporters argued that if 2KY got into the hands of the Lang faction it might not be used in the best interests of Labour. When the vote was taken on the proposal to alter the control of the station, Mr. Garden's supporters won by 79 to 64.
