SUCCESSFUL DANCE
TRAMWAYS AND ELECTRIC
There was a great gathering at the Pharmacy. Hall last night when the Wellington. Corporation Tramways and Electric Lighting Friendly Society held their second annual dance. The hall was brightly, decorated with streamers in orange and lemon tones, and many flags were arranged round the walls ~with good effect: There was an excellent orchestra, which played inspiring music/and a good supper was set upstairs, with charmingly arranged flowers and streamers in varied tones on the white cloths, this being the work of. Mrs, Twort, jun..., The committee included Mr. F. Twort .(secretary of the societyWMr. and Mrs. Jenkins (the latter in mack beaded lace), Mr. and Mrs. A. Edmonds (floraV ninon), Mr. and Mrs. Sinclair, Mr. and Mrs. J, E. Shaw, Mr. and Mrs. E. C. 'Hazlett, Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Maltby, and Mr. and Mrs. B. W. F. Twort. Messrs. Sinclair and Shaw were M.C.s.
Among those present were Mr. McKeen, M.P., and Mrs. McKeen (the'latter in black marocain with touches of white), Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Black (wine tinted marocain and'black and gold shawl), Miss. Black (white satin •and black velvet), Mrs. F. Twort, jun. (black velvet), Mrs. Sinclair (tangerine velvet), Mrs. Renner (black satin), Mrs. Kenner (black lace), Mrs. Troy (red and silver), Mrs. Elliott (pastel suede frock), Mrs. .Walker, Mr. and Mrs. F. V. Fuller, Mr. B. Signal (Rangitikei), Mr. and Mrs. E. Minifie, Mr. and Mrs. Roache, Mrs. C. Flanagan (royal blue lace), Mr.- Lachlan, Mr. and Mrs. W. Bell, Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Hearfield Xgrey and" silver), Mr. and Mrs. G. Bell, Mrs. Anson (pink silk), Mrs. Lacey - (yellow. ninon),' Mr. and Mrs. C. .Tanner,., Mrs. Sargent, Mr. E. A. Tanner, Mrs. Fisher (pink lace); Mr. Quin, Mi\i and Mrs. Shore, and Mr. Fitzmaurice. .
The dance went with great-spirit from start to finish, and the committee was congratulated on the success of its arrangements.
