FAREWELL TO MR. R. BALL

The members of the Wellington Rugby Football ~Club „ assembled on Wednesday to bid au revoir to Mr R ("Bunny") Ball on the eve of his departure for South Africa.

Mr. Weir eulogised the ability and the comradeship shown by Mr. Ball during his five years' association with the club and the valuable service he had rendered to football. Mr. Ball would be a loss to the club both from a competitive arid an administrative viewpoint On behalf of Mr. Ball's clubmates Mr. Swing handed him a wallet, which, he said, carried with it best wishes for his future prospects in the land of the "Springboks."As a fitting send-off,; the gathering gave three cheers and the club's "warcry" as a gesture of au revoir and bon voyage.
