LONDON, August 22. The butter market is steady. Danish, 108s per cwt. Choicest salted Now Zealand, 955; Australian, 945; unsalted New Zealand, 104s to 106s, and Australian, 100s to 102s.
The cheese market is firm. New Zealand coloured, 49s per cwl; white 50s; Australian, coloured, 475; white 48s.
Dalgety and Co. have received from Samuel Page and Son, Ltd., London the following report dated August 22-— ' Butter market . steadier. Danish f.0.b., 88s (89s to 90s); New Zealand finest salted, 94s to 95s (94s to 94s 6d): Australian, finest unsaltcd, 100s to 102s (98s); Australian, finest salted, 93s to 94s (93s to 945); Australian, G.A.Q. 91s (89s to, 91s). Cheese market firm. New Zealand cheese, white 49s to 49s 6d (48s to 48s 6d), coloured 48s to 48s 6s (47s 6d to 48s); spot price for i Canadian, white 50s to 65s (50s to 645) coloured 50s fo 66s (50s to 645). Joseph Nathan and Co., Ltd., have received from . their principals, Trengrouse and Nathan, Ltd., London, the following cabled advice, dated August 22:—New Zealand butter, 94s to 95s per cwt, market firm.. New Zealand cheese, white 49s 6d to 50s; coloured 48s 6d to 495; market firm.
_ A. J. Mills and Co., London, August 22, cabled the following market prices as ruling at the close of business on Thursday:—Butter market is steady. New Zealand finest, 94s to 955: New Zealand firsts, 93s to 945; Australian choicest, 93s to 945; Australian first grade, 92s to-935; Danish (spot), 108s: Danish (f.0.b.), 89s; Baltic States, 86s to 88s; Siberian, 85s to 87s. Cheese market is firm. New Zealand white, 49s to 49s 6d; New Zealand coloured, 48s 6d to 495; Canadian white and coloured, 52s to 545.
