BENNEYVILLE (Utah), July 12. John Cobb, British racing motorist, covered 152.11 miles in an hour of driving at the salt ilats today. He is claiming a world record, and also world marks of 154.46 miles an hour for fifty kilometres, 153.13 miles an hour for one hundred kilometres, 153.24" miles an hour for two hundred kilometres, 150.60 miles an hour for fifty miles, and 152.95 miles an hour for one hundred, miles.
