Ilie House of Representatives Banklug Committee has approved of the Administration's Bill barring suits against the Government lo collect alleged damages arising out of devaluation of the dollar. The inflation possibilities of this legislation were discussed by the Senate Banking Committee, but Treasury experts denied that there was such a possibility.

The Attorney-General, Mr. H. S. Cummings, told the House of Representatives Banking Committee that unless a resolution were passed barring damages suits against the Government to collect losses from dollar devaluation an international agreement to establish the gold standard would be almost impossible. Mr. Cummings said that the Government was faced with a potential loss ■of 7,000,000,000 dollars if gold clause suits were permitted and damages shown. -
