"Drink seems to be his trouble," said Sub-Inspector C. E. Hoach, when John O'Grady, a labourer, aged 52, appeared in the Magistrate's Court today before Mr. W. F. Stihvell, S.M., and pleaded guilty to the theft of a pair of stockings valued at 2s lid, the property of George Reginald Conyngham. The accused was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence if called upon within six months, and also to take out a prohibition order.
