MAYOR'S REFUSAL OVERCOME
(Received July 1, noon.) VIENNA, June 30. Because the Mayor, Herr Schinitz, who opposes Heimwehr domination, refused to display the Heimwehr flag at the City Hall in honour of a parade of its motor battalions, a Heimwehr riot squad trained machine-guns on the City Hall and hooted horns while Major Fey, State Commissioner for Security and the Interior, and the Deputy Mayor, ,Herr Lahr. personally hoisted the flag. . ' '
The Vice-Chancellor and Minister for Security, Prince Starhemberg, was ■absent owing to an indisposition. ~
