, On -the Tuesday and Thursday, trains leave Lambton Station, Wellington, 'at 8.47, 9.55, 10.10, 10.22, 10.35, 11.26 a.m. and 12.15 p.m. On the Saturday,'.trains leave Lambton'at 8.47, 0J55, 10.10, 10.20, 10.30, 10.40,. 11.26, 11.50 a.m., 12.16, 12.43, and 1.20 pjn. On each day return race trains leave Trentham at intervals .from 4.11 p.m. . The. return fare from Wellington (including admission charge to the racecourse) will be ss, carriages only being used on. the race trains. Buses' will' leave Petone at 10.35 a.m. and Lower Hutt at 10.45 ajn. each day, arriving at Trentham in time fqj* the first race and returning from Trentham after the races. The return fare is 3s.
Twenty-eight years 'ago the Rev. E. T. Drake, of Orange, Texas, lost a gold ring while swimming in the Gulf of Mexico. • The ring bore the inscrip-, tion "Pat D.," an abbreviation of bis mother's name, Patricia Drake. Fishermen have now found the ring inside a cod.
