STRONG CLASSIC HAND
Two-year-old races run over more than seven furlongs are rare in Australia, but at Williamstown last month there was a handicap that' called for stamina, the distance being 1 mile and 55 yards. It was won by Feldspar, a colt by Heroic's brother Thracian from Quartz, by- All Black from Quaria, an imported mare by St. Amant. Feldspar raced for his breeder, Mr. A. T. Creswick..
It has become evident that Mr. Creswick is going to play a very strong hand in the spring with his three-year-olds. He is nearly as well off for good two-year-olds this season as the Aga Khan was in England last year. In addittion to Feldspar; he has Garrio, Sithon, Cotys, and Ismarus, all of whom have shown attractive form, and the best of this' lot' will be dangerous in the classic races next season.
