The indoor bowling badges changed hands again on Saturday afternoon, the holders, J. Ross, Forsyth, Stonebanks, and F. Ross (who had won the badges the previous Saturday), going down to a full Wellington Club rink — Goldfinch, Wylie, O'Gorman, and Shillson. The challengers had the best of the game from the start, winning by 25 points to 15.

Three games of nine heads were played, with a tune limit of one hour per game. Most of the games went the full distance. Rinks skipped by Perry and A. Wells, of the Thorndon and the Hataitai'Bowling Clubs respectively, tied with three wins each. In the Dlay-off of five heads Wells's rink won 5-4, it being anyone's game until the last bowl was delivered. The prizes were 51b boxes of tea. The skips of the winners and runners-up spoke of the .fine evening that had been spent at bowls, and were certain that these Saturday evening tournaments would become very popular. The speakers were full of praise of the running surface that had been provided.
