Sullivan, M.P.,) at tho request -of tho Canterbury Unemployed Workers' Association, carried a resolution- condemning the action' of the Government and Unemployment \Board " in> forcing B class men on to privation sustenance." The resolution further asked 'Parliament to insist on justice"for the"unemployed" by passing the Unemployment Amendment Bill introduced ;by'Mr. Sullivan providing for sustenance in accordance with' tho 1930 Act and tho abolition of tho No. s.and other relief schemes.
