MASTERTON BEAT HUTT
Heavy rain at the weekend interfered with the play during the Hutt visit to the Wairarapa, with the result that all matches at Rototawai except one were abandoned. Fourballs and singles were played concurrently at Greytown, Greytowa winning by 12 games,to 5. Masterton won by 7 games to 6 in tlie fourballs, and by 12 games to 8 in the singles. One of the Masterton surprises was the defeat of Horton and Hornabrook by Home and W. K. Cook, the standard of golf being good notwithstanding.
