PRESBYTERIAN CLUB

The Presbyterian Harrier Club held a run from Kelburn; 32 runners in four packs taking part. A fairly severe course was decided upon by the trail-layers. It led over Tinakori Hills to Wadestown, across the hills at the back of Wilton's Bush, and into the reserve at the south end, thence on to the road. The weather conditions earlier in the day and during the run made part-of the trail very slippery, the natural hazards being increased at times when gorse as well as a greasy tiack were encountered.

A handicap run-in over the last 300 yards was won by,R. D. Moore (ser), with W. Cowan (7yds) second, and M. Stephenson (6cr), third. 'The-colts' pack was also out.

The young ladies of the Kelburn Presbyterian Church entertained the club at afternoon tea after the run.

Next week the club championship is to be.held over one lap of the Vosseler Shield course at Lyall Bay.
