Athletic defeated Berharnpore by 9 points to six after a lively game waged largely among the forwards on the slippery ground at WakefieW Park. Athletics; score consisted of two unconverted tries and a penalty^goal while Berhampore scored two tries. Berhampore seemed to have the better of the play in the first spell, although \at half-time the scores were 3-all.- Athletic deserved to win by jtheir lively revival in-.the second spell.
