GOLD SHIfL IN MEXICO

Arabs, Turks, Armenians, aid other " urideisirable foreigners" under the slogan "Mexico for Mexicans," is being developed in that country by former aruiy officers as the"A.E.M." (says the San Francisco Chronicle"). Those.aro the initials of the Spanish words for . '"Moxiean Revolutionary Action.'' It; is mere coincidence that . they spell -the English word "arm."

The idea of the. golden shirts, which really are blouses, was taken from Paucho Villa's. favburjto corps, the "Camisas Doradas." .The hat is a '' huichol' J straw, which' looks something liko a . TesaC' spinbferd. -: . ■

The coat of arms, is' an Aztec shield and club decorated with symbols of the Indian war god. . .The 'salute—right arm' upraised- with -fist'clenched—is-the old Aztec victory salute. . ..

Santa .Anna, secretary of the organisation and spokesman for the "supreme chief," ex-General Nicolas Bodriguez, says that the movement will respect, the present machinery of. the Government and will- present its programme to the Federal Congress. Tho- organisation, he says, has been in the process of formation for three years and "has '66,000 members."
