TREASURY BILL FINANCE.
Today says the , "Sydney Morning Herald, there are approximately £50 000,000 of Treasury bill/on ™ in Australia, but of these only £30 000000 are in the hands of the trading banks, the balance being held by the Common! wealth Bank. Instead of 6 per cent, being charged to the Governments .as was the case in 1930 and 1931, the rato has been" gradually, reduced, with the return of conndence in Governments and their policies, to the present 'level of 2% per cent. Treasury .bill finance has served a purpose, and served it well.
