The death df Mr.5 Hugh Gillies, occurred at his home, Bangitikei Line, on Saturday evening at the age of 82 years. The late Mr. Gillies was borii at .'' Otaria,'' Martinborough, "Wairarapa, Tv 1852, His eaylyjonthTvas spent in the district, and on . reaching man's estate he -was employed as a farni manager by the■ late .-Mr. Charles Robert Bidwill.
