The : child, a girl aged 10, • had sufr< feredfrom a chronic cough, and ques-. tions by the doctor led to -a lecollec-' tion that the girl thought she had swallowed a clip. This was confirmed by X-ray and the doctor removed tho obstruction without a surgical operation. a gag in the girl'« mouth, he inserted a bronehoscopai down her throat and, with its aid, located the two pieces of brass, then, extracted both pieces with an ordinary pair of surgical forceps.
