LOCAL BODY LOAN CONVERSION

Conversion of ■ Oamaru Borough loans totalling £282,000 has now been completed at a remarkably small cost of £138 A conversion scheme submitted by, the Town Clerk, Mr, : J. Branthwaite, was adopted by the council, the cost of converting representing a saving from £300 to £400 on the,conversion on a percentage basis, negotiations, for the release of sinking funds and .the consolidation of a loan held by the Public Trustee were also completed, the .whole conversion being considered exceedingly satisfactory.
