MOVEMENT IN BONDS

On the Sydney Stock Exchange today, although the recent upward movement in Commonwealth bond values showed signs of steadying, the gilt-edged group remained very strong. Responding to * the new issue announcement, Placer Development shares and those of the subsidiary Bulolo Company rose materially and touched new high- levels.
