LONDON, July 20. ■ Among the players to make centuries in the latest series of county ■ cricket matches was.C. pacre, the ex-New Zealand representative, who scored 117 for Gloucestershire against. Derbyshire. A feature of the results was the .defeat of Yorkshire by Warwickshire, after the latter had been dismissed for 45 runs in their first innings. Warwickshire won. by one,wicket. Freeman (13 wckets), Paine (12 wickets), and Davey (sis for 9) were among the outstanding bowlers.

Lancashire, 144 (Hearne four for. 36) anS 193 (Smith five for 54); Middlesex, 292 for nine wickets, declared, and 47.f0r no wickets. ' Middlesex won by ten wickets. .
Hampshire, 326 (Lowndes 143) arid J«3 (Gover four.for 54); Surrey, 387 for nine wickets, declared (Sandham 126) and 123 for one wicket (Sandhain 61). Surrey won by nine wickets. Somerset, 522 (F.
